Preview Weekend at Hildegard
Welcome to Preview Weekend at Hildegard College.
The Hildegard Experience is a preview weekend designed to help students (and their families) experience what this kind of education actually feels like.
Thursday Evening
Seated around the table with our students, you’ll step into conversations shaped by the Great Books — Plato, Aristotle, Dante, and more — wrestling together with enduring questions: What is the Good? What does it mean to be free? Who is God?
Later that evening, students and parents will join our faculty and leadership team for an honest conversation about the vision behind the college. Why pair liberal arts with entrepreneurship? What does it mean to educate the whole person? What kind of life are we ultimately preparing students for?
Friday Morning
We begin with Creators & Coffee — a gathering where you’ll meet local entrepreneurs, builders, and creators while enjoying some of the best coffee in Southern California from our campus coffee shop, Buenas Coffee.
From there, students will have the opportunity for direct conversation with our guest speaker as we explore the idea of redemptive entrepreneurship — what it requires, what it costs, and what it means to build something that genuinely serves others.
Students will then step into the Entrepreneur Lab, where ideas move beyond theory and into practice. You’ll collaborate on real-world problems, workshop business concepts, and engage with live case studies connected to ventures, projects, and internships our students are actively involved in right now.
At the same time, parents will gather with our leadership team for conversations around formation, outcomes, mentorship, and what students actually leave with after four years — not only academically, but personally, spiritually, and professionally.
Saturday Morning
Finally, we’ll send you out into Costa Mesa and the surrounding coast to experience the rhythms of life here for yourself.
Maybe that means a walk along the bluffs at Crystal Cove State Park, exploring Lido Marina Village, or stopping for a frozen banana on Balboa Island. More than anything, this is meant to help you imagine what life could look like here — the kind of community, formation, and future you might step into.
If you’re exploring options for the fall — or simply beginning to ask deeper questions about education, vocation, and calling — we’d love to invite you into the conversation. Attendance is intentionally limited to keep the experience personal and meaningful.
